Venue Management Coordinator (Contract)
Location: Riyadh
Contract Duration: August 2026 - February 2027
Overview
We are seeking a proactive and highly organized Venue Management Coordinator to support the successful delivery of a major international sporting event in Saudi Arabia. Working closely with the Venue Management team, the successful candidate will assist in coordinating daily venue operations, stakeholder engagement, readiness activities, and operational planning across multiple competition and non-competition venues.
This role is ideal for candidates with experience supporting venue operations for international sporting events, conferences, exhibitions, festivals, or large-scale live events, who thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Venue Management team in the planning, coordination, and delivery of venue operations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate day-to-day operational activities across assigned venues to ensure readiness for all event phases.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of venue operational plans, schedules, and documentation.
- Coordinate with functional areas including Security, Accreditation, Workforce, Transport, Medical, Technology, Broadcast, Cleaning, Catering, and Facilities Management.
- Monitor venue readiness and ensure operational requirements are delivered according to project timelines.
- Participate in venue inspections, operational meetings, site visits, and readiness reviews.
- Track actions, operational issues, and follow up with relevant stakeholders to ensure timely resolution.
- Support venue testing, rehearsals, and operational readiness exercises before competition.
- Assist in coordinating contractors, suppliers, and service providers operating within the venue.
- Maintain accurate operational records, reports, risk registers, and venue documentation.
- Support event-time venue operations and contribute to resolving operational issues in real time.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety policies, operational procedures, and event standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience supporting venue operations for international sporting events, tournaments, conferences, exhibitions, festivals, or other major events.
- Strong organizational and coordination skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience using event management or project management systems is an advantage.
- Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Sports Management, Business Administration, Hospitality, or a related field is preferred.
- Fluency in English is required. Arabic is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel between Riyadh and Jeddah as required.
Preferred Background
We are particularly interested in candidates who have:
- Supported venue operations for international football tournaments or other major sporting events.
- Experience working across multiple venues during large-scale events.
- Worked with international federations, government entities, venue owners, or major event stakeholders.
- Experience supporting venue readiness, operational planning, and event-time delivery.
