Mining Innovation Expert

This is a full-time on-site role for a Mining Innovation Expert located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The Mining Innovation Expert will be responsible for leading the development of innovative mining and mineral products, driving research and development initiatives, and building strategic partnerships that support the advancement of Saudi Arabia's mining sector in alignment with Vision 2030 and the National Mining Strategy.

Daily tasks include identifying and evaluating cutting-edge mining technologies, contributing to or leading R&D programs, conducting technical analyses and feasibility studies, coordinating with research institutions and technology partners, and delivering evidence-based recommendations to senior stakeholders. The expert will also engage closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that innovation initiatives translate into tangible operational and commercial outcomes.

Experience & Qualifications

- Minimum 5 years of experience in the development of innovative mining or mineral products, with a strong track record in industrial R&D.

- In-depth knowledge of modern mining technologies, including advanced extraction methods, mineral processing innovations, and emerging industry trends.

- Proven ability to lead or actively participate in research and development teams within the mining or industrial sector.

- Strong skills in building partnerships with research institutions, technology companies, and government entities to support mining innovation.

- Solid analytical capabilities to assess emerging technologies and translate findings into actionable strategies and technical recommendations.

- Prior experience in Saudi Arabia or the GCC mining sector is highly preferred.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills; Arabic proficiency is a strong advantage.

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related field is required; a PhD in Engineering, Sciences, or any related discipline is preferred.

- An active research background is preferred — candidates with published academic or industry research in mining, mineral processing, or related fields will be given strong consideration.
