As a Technical Support Engineer within the Product Integrity function, you will be at the forefront of resolving critical technical issues at customer sites, playing a pivotal role in Siemens Energy’s mission towards decarbonization. This role is ideal for seasoned professionals with a strong technical background and excellent communication skills, as you will collaborate with clients and engineers to ensure seamless operations of compressor installations. How You’ll Make An Impact
- Engage with various levels of customer and Siemens Energy organizations to effectively resolve technical issues.
- Conduct complex troubleshooting on compressors and ancillary systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Facilitate the exchange of technical information between customer sites and senior experts within the Product Integrity team.
- Collaborate with team members to report and implement necessary changes for issue resolution.
- Provide expert technical support and guidance to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation of field service activities, including service reports and maintenance logs.
- A Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 7 years of direct experience in installing and overhauling various types of industrial gas compressors (turbo, axial flow, integral gear, reciprocating)
- Proven experience in validating instrumentation and controls during startups or overhauls.
- Expertise in vibration monitoring and conducting site performance testing.
- Advanced skills in precision measurement techniques and problem-solving in high-pressure environments.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently and adapt to unpredictable situations, along with a willingness to travel and work flexible hours.
