About the Role


We are seeking an experienced Spectator Services Venue Manager to oversee the planning, coordination, and delivery of world-class spectator services at one of the region's largest international football events. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring an exceptional fan journey from arrival to departure while maintaining the highest standards of safety, operational excellence, and customer service.


This role requires a highly organised venue operations professional with experience in managing spectator services within large-scale sporting events, stadiums, arenas, or major entertainment venues.


Key Responsibilities



  • Lead all spectator services operations at the assigned venue throughout the event life cycle, including planning, readiness, event delivery, and post-event activities.

  • Develop and implement spectator services operational plans aligned with venue objectives and international event standards.

  • Manage all spectator-facing functions including:


    • Information points

    • Customer service desks

    • Way finding and signage

    • Accessibility services

    • Lost & Found

    • Family and child reunification procedures

    • Queue management

    • Guest assistance


  • Coordinate closely with Venue Operations, Security, Safety, Medical, Accreditation, Transport, Volunteers, Hospitality, Ticketing, Broadcasting, and Cleaning teams to ensure seamless venue operations.

  • Supervise, train, and motivate a large workforce comprising supervisors, coordinators, volunteers, and temporary event staff.

  • Ensure all spectator services areas are fully operational before gates open and maintained throughout event operations.

  • Monitor crowd movement, spectator behaviour, service levels, and operational performance to proactively resolve issues.

  • Handle spectator complaints, escalations, and VIP customer concerns professionally while maintaining excellent service standards.

  • Conduct venue inspections, operational readiness checks, and event-day briefings.

  • Maintain compliance with venue policies, health & safety regulations, accessibility requirements, and emergency procedures.

  • Prepare operational reports, incident reports, and post-event evaluations, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.

  • Participate in venue rehearsals, test events, tabletop exercises, and operational planning meetings.


Required Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Sports Management, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience in spectator services, venue operations, stadium management, or major event operations.

  • Proven experience managing spectator operations at:


    • International football tournaments

    • Major sporting events

    • Stadiums or arenas

    • Multi-sport events

    • Concerts or large-scale entertainment events with attendance exceeding 20,000 spectators.


  • Demonstrated experience leading large operational teams, including paid staff, contractors, and volunteers.

  • Strong understanding of crowd management principles and guest experience delivery.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional coordination skills.

  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure event environment.

  • Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Arabic language skills are an advantage.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and event management systems.


Preferred Experience


Candidates with experience in international events organized by governing bodies or major organizing committees will be highly regarded, including experience in:



  • International football competitions

  • Continental championships

  • FIFA or confederation tournaments

  • Olympic or multi-sport events

  • Formula 1 or international motorsport events

  • Large-scale concerts and entertainment festivals

  • Major stadium or arena operations
