Senior Project Manager

Star

Date: 2 weeks ago
City: Riyadh
Contract type: Full time

Star is a human capability development company headquartered in Riyadh. We design and deliver large-scale training programs, education strategies, government projects, and strategic events for some of Saudi Arabia's most ambitious institutions and organizations. Our work spans government, tourism, hospitality, healthcare, banking, and education.

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex, multi-stakeholder programs from brief to completion. You will be Star's primary relationship holder with senior government and corporate clients, set the PMO approach for the delivery team, and play a key role in building our project management capability as the company grows.

This is not a coordination role. You will own programs end-to-end managing scope, timelines, stakeholder relationships, subcontractors, and delivery quality simultaneously. You will also mentor junior PMs and shape how Star approaches project delivery as a practice.

What you will be doing:

  • Leading 2–3 large programs simultaneously for government and corporate clients
  • Managing senior client relationships at ministry and executive level
  • Building PMO structures, governance frameworks, and reporting systems
  • Coordinating internal teams and external subcontractors toward shared milestones
  • Producing executive-level reports and stakeholder communications
  • Mentoring junior project managers and setting delivery standards
  • Using AI tools to improve planning, reporting, and team productivity

Requirements

  • 5–9 years of project management experience, preferably on government or corporate programs in Saudi Arabia
  • Demonstrated experience leading programs independently from brief to delivery — not just participating in them
  • Strong client relationship skills — comfortable presenting to senior government officials and executives
  • Exceptional communication in Arabic and English, both written and verbal
  • Structured problem-solver — you define the problem before you solve it
  • Active AI tool user — you use AI in your daily workflow, not occasionally
  • Hands-on work ethic — track record of doing the work, not just overseeing it
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; PMP or equivalent is a plus

Benefits

  • Opportunity to lead some of Saudi Arabia's most significant human capability programs
  • Fast-growing company with real room to move into senior leadership
  • Collaborative, high-performance team
  • Central Riyadh location
