Riyadh Air (RX), headquartered in the Saudi Capital, is the new national airline that’s shaping the future of flying. It seeks to lead the aviation industry by transforming Saudi Arabia into a global aviation and trade hub – a digitally native airline that will connect the kingdom to more than 100 destinations.
About The Role
Are you an experienced aviation procurement leader with strong expertise in airline spares, technical purchasing, and AOG support operations?
In this role, you'll lead Riyadh Air's technical procurement activities, ensuring the timely availability of aircraft materials, spare parts, and services required to support safe, efficient, and uninterrupted flight operations.
You'll play a critical role in managing end-to-end procurement activities across aircraft materials and technical services, working closely with Engineering, Maintenance, Logistics, Inventory Planning, and operational stakeholders to ensure rapid response and operational continuity.
Importantly, your role will involve managing supplier performance, negotiating pricing and commercial terms, administering repair and warranty agreements, and driving effective sourcing strategies that support both operational readiness and cost optimisation.
Central to your success in this role is the ability to work within a highly dynamic aviation environment, you will lead cross-functional coordination for AOG and maintenance requirements, ensuring delivery commitments are secured and operational disruptions are minimised through proactive planning and execution.
You will also oversee procurement performance reporting, inventory readiness, and budget planning activities while ensuring all procurement operations remain fully compliant with technical, commercial, contractual, and regulatory requirements.
As a strategic procurement leader, you will contribute to strengthening supplier partnerships, enhancing procurement capabilities, and supporting Riyadh Air’s ambition to build a world-class operational and technical ecosystem.
This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded and operationally focused aviation professional ready to play a key role in supporting Riyadh Air’s growing fleet and operation.
About You
Degree qualified, you will demonstrate a minimum of 8 years of experience leading airline spares and/or aviation procurement activities within a commercial aviation environment.
You are expected to have a strong background across technical procurement, supplier and contract management, inventory planning, and AOG support operations, with a solid understanding of airline operational requirements and material availability priorities.
Professional certifications such as CSCP, CSCM, CIPS, or related supply chain and procurement qualifications will be highly valued.
We’d love to hear from you even more if you are familiar with AOG response procedures, and GACA regulatory requirements as it will be essential for success in this role.
This is your opportunity to shape the future of air travel. Bring your best and show us why you can own this position within Riyadh Air.
