About The Role

Job Summary

Ensures the reliability, optimization, and compliance of control systems and instrumentation at Sulzer. This role supports the design of centrifugal pumps and components, preparing detailed engineering studies, calculations, BOMs and documentation to meet customer and regulatory standards. Through technical expertise and collaboration, the position enhances equipment performance, contributes to operational excellence, and supports Sulzer's mission to deliver innovative fluid engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate engineering electrical drawings, Bills of Materials, and specifications using CAD (EPLAN & AutoCAD) to enable pump manufacturing.
• Perform and validate detailed design calculations to ensure designs meet customer requirements, safety, and quality standards.
• Design and develop customized pump components and assemblies based on customer specifications and company standards.
• Collaborate with internal teams like Sales and Tendering, Project Management, and Manufacturing to support project execution and address technical challenges.
• Supervise and review the work of design engineers and drafters to ensure quality and adherence to timelines.
• Adhere to strict schedule deadlines and ensure timely delivery of all engineering tasks and deliverables.
• Participate in order reviews, design meetings, and administrative functions to support effective project management.
• Contribute to process improvements and uphold EHS and company quality standards in all tasks.
• Participation in customer meetings and site visits to ensure customer satisfaction and provide technical alignment.
• Support and collaborate with other engineering facilities and divisions in the Global Sulzer Organization to ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.
  
  

Qualifications / Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering; CAD or Lean certification is an advantage.
• 5–8 years of relevant work experience in electrical and mechanical design environments.
• Proficiency in electrical CAD design using EPLAN (AutoCAD as a minimum), with solid experience in Teamcenter and SAP.
• Sound knowledge of electrical drafting, manufacturing processes, and detailed calculations for pump components and assemblies.
• Familiarity with LEAN principles, EHS standards, and order execution and handling processes.
• Strong problem-solving skills with proven ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Demonstrated leadership, mentoring capability, excellent time management, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
