Parsons is looking for an exceptionally talented QA/QC Engineer to join our site team on a major public realm development in Diriyah, which includes a series of iconic and neighborhood parks, open spaces, and over 55 kilometers of streetscape. Job Description
Parsons is looking for an exceptionally talented QA/QC Engineer to join our site team on a major public realm development in Diriyah, which includes a series of iconic and neighborhood parks, open spaces, and over 55 kilometers of streetscape. The objective of this program is to create a vibrant, inclusive environment that enhances livability, accessibility, and community well-being.
What You'll Be Doing
- Review the Contractor's material submittals and obtain the required approvals according to the applicable standards and project specifications.
- Serves as the focal point for the scheduling and control of construction materials and equipment at the job site
- Conducts inspections to determine if work has been done in accordance with contract specifications.
- Coordinates work of subconsultants for material testing
- Maintains office files related to the project, material inspections and writes daily diaries.
- Prepares daily reports and other documentation, as required by the contract
- Verifies that only approved materials are incorporated in the work
- Recognizes potential conflicts, issues and problems on construction materials, and reports to supervisor with proposed solution
- Collects, reviews and files Certificate of Compliance, MSDS, inspection tags and other information relevant to the materials used.
- May provide technical guidance to lower-level
- Participates in the development of job safety practices and in the preparation of safety reports
- Participates in the development of quality control reports and procedures
- Capability to perform math calculation in order to prepare engineering calculations, graphs and charts
- Observe, check and record works execution is in accordance with approved methods
- Check material delivered are as approved and properly stored
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
- Minimum of 8 years engineering experience and a minimum of 5 years' experience as material engineer in the specific infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of English grammar and composition, the ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing; to follow oral and written instructions, prepare written messages and simple charts and graphs.
- Ability to comply with multitude of requirements as applicable to the project based on client and industry standards
- Must be able to recognize hazardous work conditions and take action if necessary
- Ability to use good judgment and work with others is required
