Portfolio Manager

About The Role

A global asset manager is seeking an experienced Portfolio Manager / Analyst to support its global asset manager Equities platform, based on-site in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will play a central role in directing investment processes, generating actionable insights, and managing existing portfolios across the strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Jointly develop and implement investment policies while directing portfolio management for specific strategies, overseeing a significant asset base.
• Assume joint responsibility for all aspects of fund management for the assigned strategy, including investment decision-making and compliance adherence.
• Conduct comprehensive research and analysis of market trends, economic indicators, and individual securities to identify investment opportunities and associated risks.
• Monitor and evaluate portfolio performance, making adjustments to optimise returns while minimising risk and ensuring alignment with client objectives and house risk/return targets.
• Ensure timely production of accurate investment reports for both external and internal clients, reflecting performance and strategic insights.
• Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop new business opportunities, attract new clients, and maintain strong relationships with existing clients.
• Actively participate in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to stay current on market developments and represent the firm\'s investment approach.
• Adhere to all relevant rules and regulations governing client portfolio management, ensuring compliance and best practices are maintained throughout.
  
  

Skills & Experience

• Bachelor\'s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent qualification is preferred.
• Buy-side experience in equities portfolio management, with a proven track record across multiple sectors.
• Strong analytical skills, including the ability to conduct detailed financial modelling and valuation analysis.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships.
• Proficiency in portfolio management software and financial analysis tools.
• Sound understanding of market trends, economic indicators, and individual securities, with a track record of optimising portfolio performance.
