Job Description:

The Managing Partner – Private Equity & Growth Capital will serve as a pivotal leader within our organization, tasked with spearheading the development and execution of investment strategies that drive growth across our portfolio of companies. This role demands a deep understanding of market dynamics, financial structuring, and operational efficiency in the realms of private equity and growth capital. The ideal candidate will exhibit exceptional proficiency in identifying lucrative investment opportunities, conducting rigorous due diligence, and fostering strategic partnerships to enhance organizational performance. A strong capability to lead cross-functional teams in executing investment plans and a commitment to mentoring emerging leaders within the firm are critical. This role will also require the Managing Partner to engage with key stakeholders, including limited partners, to communicate results and strategize future growth initiatives, demonstrating both a visionary mindset and operational expertise.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in private equity, venture capital, or growth capital investment roles, demonstrating excellent career trajectory and industry knowledge.
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale investments with quantifiable results, exhibiting an ability to deliver superior returns on capital employed.
  • Deep expertise in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and investment thesis development, with the ability to leverage data analytics for strategic decision-making.
  • Strong understanding of fund management, governance, and compliance structures, coupled with a demonstrated ability to implement robust risk management frameworks.
  • Exceptional negotiation and relationship management skills, capable of influencing multiple stakeholders including investors, portfolio company executives, and regulatory bodies.
  • High-level proficiency in market research methodologies with the ability to identify and capitalize on investment trends and opportunities across various sectors.
  • Experience building and leading high-performing teams, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Strong operational focus, with experience working alongside portfolio companies to drive growth and improve operational efficiencies.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop talent within the organization, enhancing organizational capability and knowledge transfer.
  • Advanced communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience presenting complex financial concepts and investment strategies to diverse audiences.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the transformational growth of the firm's private equity and growth capital initiatives by strategically identifying, assessing, and executing investment opportunities.
  • Oversee all aspects of the investment process, from sourcing deals and conducting due diligence to negotiating terms and executing transactions.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models to evaluate investment scenarios, inform strategy, and optimize portfolio performance.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with a network of investors, business leaders, and industry experts to drive new business opportunities and fundraising initiatives.
  • Collaborate with portfolio companies to implement operational improvements, implement growth strategies, and achieve predetermined performance metrics.
  • Drive the development of strategic investment theses aligned with the overall organizational vision, ensuring adaptability to changing market conditions.
  • Mentor and guide junior investment professionals, promoting skill development and enhancing the firm's overall investment acumen.
  • Regularly analyze industry and market trends, providing insights to executive leadership to inform strategic planning and investment approaches.
  • Champion a robust risk management framework that identifies, assesses, and mitigates potential risks associated with investment strategies.
  • Serve as a key spokesperson and representative of the firm at industry conferences, board meetings, and investor engagements, articulating the firm’s value proposition and performance narratives.
