Junior Prompt Engineer

Tech Pipeline helps operations teams resolve friction in their business processes by fixing technical gaps where data goes missing or approval chains stall. We are currently supporting a Riyadh-based investment firm as they integrate large language models into their research and reporting workflows. We need a Junior Prompt Engineer to help translate their specific investment data needs into reliable, repeatable outputs.

About the role
This role focuses on the practical side of instructing AI models to perform specific tasks. You will not be building models from scratch. Instead, you will be in the system testing how different instructions influence the quality of reports and data summaries for our client. This is a junior, entry-level position where the goal is to reduce the friction between a raw data source and the final synthesis an investment analyst needs. Since Tech Pipeline is a fully remote company, you will spend your time testing inputs, reading logs, and documenting results from your own workspace. The role is a permanent, full-time position that offers competitive pay for the current market.

What you will be doing

• Test and document how different phrasing affects the accuracy and tone of model outputs.
• Read through system logs to identify where a prompt failed to capture the context of a financial document.
• Collaborate with investment analysts to understand their specific data requirements and reporting needs.
• Create prompt templates for recurring tasks such as market updates and meeting summaries.
• Adjust model instructions to handle edge cases where the incoming data format is inconsistent.
• Monitor the consistency of outputs over time to catch any drift in how the model responds.
• Maintain a shared library of successful prompt patterns for the client to use once our engagement ends.
• Troubleshoot instances where the model ignores specific routing rules or provided context.

What we need from you

• Strong command of English grammar and the ability to write very precise, unambiguous instructions.
• A logical approach to testing that involves changing one variable at a time to see the result.
• Basic familiarity with the general capabilities and limitations of models like GPT or Claude.
• The ability to document your findings clearly for both technical developers and business operators.
• High attention to detail when comparing two versions of a generated text output.
• Professional curiosity about how to improve the reliability of automated systems.
• A preference for technical facts over abstract ideas.

Helpful background

• Basic exposure to finance or investment terminology.
• Experience with spreadsheet automation or introductory scripting.
