Job Description
We're looking for a detail-oriented and professional Health & Safety Officer to join our organization in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive health and safety programs to ensure a safe and compliant workplace environment. You will work collaboratively across all departments to promote a strong safety culture and minimize workplace hazards and incidents.
- Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with Saudi Arabian labor regulations and international standards
- Conduct regular workplace inspections, hazard assessments, and risk analyses to identify potential safety concerns and recommend corrective actions
- Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near-misses; document findings and implement preventive measures to avoid recurrence
- Organize and deliver safety training programs and induction sessions for new employees and existing staff on relevant safety topics
- Maintain accurate and organized health and safety records, documentation, and reports required for regulatory compliance and audits
- Collaborate with management and department heads to ensure safety protocols are understood and consistently followed across the organization
- Monitor workplace conditions and equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations
- Prepare and present safety performance reports and metrics to senior management
- Stay current with changes in health and safety legislation and regulations applicable to the organization
- Coordinate with external safety auditors and regulatory bodies as needed
- Proven experience as a Health & Safety Officer or in a similar health and safety role
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations, standards, and best practices (OSHA, ISO 45001, or equivalent)
- Familiarity with Saudi Arabian workplace safety regulations and labor laws
- Demonstrated ability to conduct risk assessments, hazard identification, and incident investigations
- Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills with strong attention to detail
- Proficiency in analyzing safety data and preparing comprehensive reports
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage employees at all levels
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and safety management software
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities efficiently
- Preferred: First aid and CPR certification
- Preferred: Experience with safety management systems and audits
- Preferred: Background in industrial, construction, or manufacturing environments
- Preferred: Knowledge of Vision 2030 workplace safety initiatives in Saudi Arabia
