Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated English Teacher to join our school community as a full-time educator. The role focuses on delivering engaging English language instruction, fostering students’ language proficiency, critical thinking, and love of literature, while aligning with curriculum standards and school goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality English instruction to students across designated grade levels
  • Develop and implement lessons, assessments, and activities that meet curriculum standards
  • Differentiate instruction to accommodate diverse learning needs and styles
  • Monitor and assess student progress, provide timely feedback, and maintain records
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
  • Collaborate with colleagues on cross-curricular projects and school initiatives
  • Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student development

Required Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience in English instruction
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, or a related field (or equivalent teaching credential)
  • Teaching certification or licensure as required by the local governing body
  • Strong classroom management and organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or additional certifications in English, literacy, or TESOL/TEFL
  • Experience with curriculum design and assessment development
  • Proficiency with educational technology and online/hybrid teaching tools

Skills And Competencies

  • Strong command of English grammar, vocabulary, and literature
  • Lesson planning, instructional strategies, and differentiation
  • Assessment design, data analysis, and progress reporting
  • Classroom management, student engagement, and positive behavior support
  • Collaborative teamwork and effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues

Education and Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, or related field
  • Teaching certification or state/licensure as required
  • Additional relevant certifications (e.g., TESOL/TEFL, literacy specialization) preferred
