Field Service Specialist - Gas Turbines -Steel Plate Fitter

Your day involves performing complex and technically demanding on-site field service activities for gas turbines, ensuring safe and efficient operation while applying specialized technical expertise. You proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex equipment issues, taking appropriate corrective actions to minimize downtime and maintain operational reliability.

How You’ll Make An Impact

• Perform specialized gas turbine and generator maintenance, repair, and modification activities at customer power plants across KSA and internationally.
• Collaborate closely with FS Shift Leads and Field Service Engineers while ensuring compliance with Siemens Energy quality, EHS, and project procedures.
• Prepare and submit detailed maintenance reports, quality records, and technical documentation, utilizing engineering drawings and installation schematics.
• Lead and supervise subcontractors, promote safety programs, conduct risk assessments, and ensure proper use of PPE to maintain a safe work environment.
• Execute critical mechanical activities including alignment of transitions, cooling air systems and flame tubes, installation of burner components, and metal cutting, grinding, forming, and welding preparation work.
  
  
  

What You Bring

• Minimum 10+ years of experience as a Steel Plate Fitter, with expertise in steel plate cutting, repair, grinding, forming, and cutting operations.
• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering preferred, with hands-on experience working on large gas turbines, particularly Advanced Frame (4000F) and V-Frame (2000E) units.
• Ability to interpret and follow technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions, with strong communication and verbal skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively (70% travel, 200-250 days per year) and work long-duration assignments domestically and internationally, including day and night shifts.
• Trained and knowledgeable in Foreign Material Exclusion (FME), Confined Space Entry, and Working at Height, with a strong commitment to safety and field service best practices.
