About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager – Utilities to lead and manage all utility operations within a high-volume poultry processing plant. The role is critical in ensuring reliable, efficient, and cost-effective delivery of utilities (steam, refrigeration, water, compressed air, etc.) to support continuous production operations.

You will be responsible for maintaining high equipment reliability, driving efficiency improvements, and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Utilities & Maintenance team to ensure uninterrupted plant operations
• Oversee operation, maintenance, and optimization of all utility systems including:

1. Power Distribution
2. Refrigeration (Ammonia systems)

Boilers & steam systems

Air compressors

Water treatment & effluent treatment plants

• HVAC and cooling systems
• Develop and implement Preventive Maintenance (PM/PPM) plans for all utility equipment
• Ensure maximum uptime and reliability of utilities to support production targets
• Monitor and control energy consumption and utility costs
• Lead engineering projects, including upgrades, modifications, and new installations
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental (HSE) and food safety standards
• Manage budgets (OPEX & CAPEX) and optimize resource utilization
• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean / TPM / Six Sigma)
• Develop and train engineering staff to build team capability

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial or related discipline)
• Minimum 8+ years of experience in utilities/maintenance within food manufacturing / poultry / FMCG / processing plants
• Strong hands-on experience in industrial utilities systems (refrigeration, boilers, compressors, water systems)
• Proven experience in managing maintenance teams and plant operations
• Experience in poultry or meat processing plants
• Knowledge of Lean, TPM, or Six Sigma methodologies
• Familiarity with SAP PM or similar maintenance systems
