Electrician

Job Description

The Electrician is responsible for supporting the Engineering team in maintaining the hotel's electrical systems and equipment. The role ensures that all electrical installations and equipment are operating safely, efficiently, and in accordance with hotel standards. The Electrician will carry out preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot electrical issues, and respond to maintenance requests across guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house areas, and hotel facilities.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults, lighting systems, power outlets, switches, and control panels.
• Inspect electrical installations and ensure they are operating safely and efficiently.
• Respond promptly to electrical maintenance requests from different hotel departments.
• Support the Engineering team during maintenance, renovation, and installation projects.
• Conduct regular inspections of electrical equipment and report any potential hazards or defects.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with hotel safety standards and applicable regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment conditions.
• Follow all hotel Health & Safety procedures and emergency protocols.
• Coordinate with other Engineering team members to resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
  
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma or technical/vocational certification in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Previous experience as an Electrician, preferably in a hotel or similar facility.
• Good knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, lighting, and electrical equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical faults.
• Knowledge of electrical safety standards and procedures.
• Good problem-solving and communication skills.
