Job Summary

AMANA is seeking a talented Electrical Designer – Saudi Talent to join our design team. The role is ideal for candidates with hands-on experience in electrical design for industrial, commercial, and data center projects, preferably within a construction or contracting environment.

The Electrical Designer will be responsible for preparing, developing, and coordinating electrical design drawings and documentation in line with project requirements, applicable codes, standards, and construction deliverables. The role requires strong technical design capabilities, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, architecture, and project teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed electrical design drawings, layouts, and documentation based on project specifications, engineering inputs, and client requirements.
• Prepare and coordinate electrical drawings for industrial, commercial, and data center projects, including power distribution, lighting, containment, grounding, low-current systems, and related electrical design elements.
• Participate in site visits to collect information, verify existing conditions, and understand project and construction requirements.
• Coordinate closely with electrical engineers, architects, BIM teams, project teams, and other disciplines to ensure design integration and accuracy.
• Support the preparation and timely issuance of IFC “Issued for Construction” drawings in line with the project deliverables log and approved project schedule.
• Ensure design drawings comply with applicable codes, standards, regulations, project specifications, and authority requirements.
• Maintain accurate design files, drawing registers, revisions, and documentation records.
• Review and update drawings based on engineering comments, client feedback, site conditions, and design changes.
• Assist in preparing design proposals, technical presentations, and coordination documents when required.
• Support construction teams by responding to design-related queries and providing drawing clarifications when needed.
• Apply quality checks to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness of design deliverables.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical design, preferably within contracting, construction, or design-build projects.
• Experience in industrial and commercial projects is required.
• Experience in data center electrical design is highly preferred.
• Previous exposure to construction site coordination, contracting environments, or fast-track projects is highly recommended.
• Candidate must be a Saudi Talent.

Technical Skills

• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and electrical design drafting.
• Experience using Revit / BIM tools for electrical design coordination.
• Knowledge of 3D design coordination is preferred.
• Experience with Lumion or similar visualization tools is an advantage.
• Good understanding of electrical systems such as:
• Power distribution
• Lighting systems
• Cable containment and routing
• Earthing and grounding
• Low-current / ELV systems
• Electrical room layouts
• Data center electrical infrastructure is a strong plus
• Ability to read and interpret project specifications, engineering drawings, and construction documentation.
• Familiarity with relevant electrical codes, standards, and local authority requirements.
