Job Description:
The Director of Shared Services will lead the strategic development, implementation, and management of an integrated shared services model across the organization. This role entails developing and executing a vision that aligns with corporate goals while ensuring streamlined operations that drive efficiency and effectiveness across departments. The incumbent will employ comprehensive analytical skills to assess service delivery and implement innovative solutions to enhance productivity and service quality. As a key member of the executive leadership team, the Director will facilitate cross-functional collaboration, promote a customer-centric culture, and monitor performance metrics to ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs). This position requires exceptional leadership and strategic thinking capabilities, as well as proficiency in managing complex projects and guiding diverse teams to achieve performance excellence.
Job Requirements:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in managing shared services or similar operational environments, with progressively increasing responsibilities.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing operational strategies that improve service delivery and reduce costs across multiple departments.
- Extensive experience in leading cross-functional teams and fostering collaboration among various organizational stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, necessary for effective decision-making.
- Demonstrated capability to analyze complex data sets and derive actionable insights that drive efficiency and elevate customer satisfaction.
- Expertise in change management processes to guide teams through transitions while minimizing disruption and resistance.
- Exceptional communication skills, with a focus on influencing and persuading stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- In-depth knowledge of performance management systems and the ability to design effective metrics that assess team productivity and service quality.
- Ability to navigate and lead organizational transformation efforts in multicultural and dynamic environments.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance frameworks relevant to shared services operations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a strategic roadmap for the shared services organization, aligned with overall business objectives and stakeholder needs.
- Oversee the planning, design, and execution of shared services initiatives, ensuring operational excellence and adherence to best practices.
- Establish and maintain a framework for measuring and managing service delivery performance against set SLAs.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement through the implementation of process optimization initiatives and innovative service delivery models.
- Lead change management initiatives to ensure successful adoption of shared services across the organization.
- Collaborate closely with department heads to identify their service requirements and ensure that the shared services team meets or exceeds performance expectations.
- Manage and mentor a diverse team of professionals, fostering an environment of engagement, growth, and high performance.
- Prepare and present reports on shared services performance, initiatives, and improvements to executive leadership and key stakeholders.
- Proactively identify risks associated with shared services operations and develop strategies to mitigate those risks effectively.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, innovative practices, and emerging technologies to drive the evolution of shared services within the organization.
