Overview Of The Role:
The Customs Broker is responsible for handling customs clearance procedures for finished vehicles, spare parts, and related shipments in compliance with Saudi Customs regulations and local authorities. This role involves coordination with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and transporters to ensure timely clearance and delivery. Success in this role requires a thorough understanding of customs regulations and clearance procedures, effective management of customer operations, and meeting agreed SLAs and KPIs. The broker must be flexible with working hours and adept at managing multiple customer jobs.

Overview Of The Role:
The Customs Broker is responsible for handling customs clearance procedures for finished vehicles, spare parts, and related shipments in compliance with Saudi Customs regulations and local authorities. This role involves coordination with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and transporters to ensure timely clearance and delivery. Success in this role requires a thorough understanding of customs regulations and clearance procedures, effective management of customer operations, and meeting agreed SLAs and KPIs. The broker must be flexible with working hours and adept at managing multiple customer jobs.
What You Will Do:
- Effectively manage each job in a timely manner for allocated customers.
- Clear incoming and outgoing air and sea freight shipments in accordance with terms and schedules.
- Perform VCC corrections by coordinating with customs authorities, raising tickets, and resolving time-critical issues.
- Ensure timely verification of original shipping documents, correct HS Code classification, and duty/tax calculation for processing Bayan.
- Efficiently manage job registration, update details in EDI Cargo Wise, invoicing, and electronic document management.
- Handle additional customer jobs as needed, especially during annual leave and as assigned by the Team Leader or Operations Manager.
- Ensure timely invoicing and avoid issuance of credit notes.
- Prepare and submit reporting dashboards and daily reports as requested, in the specified formats.
- Strong knowledge of Saudi customs regulations, GCC tariff codes, HS code classification, and import/export procedures.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and familiarity with SAP or ERP/logistics systems.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, proactive, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage key account operations and meet agreed SLAs and KPIs.
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, or a related field (preferred).
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar industry, specifically in customs brokerage.
- Valid Saudi Customs Broker License or accreditation from the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA).
- Fluency in Arabic and English (written and spoken).
