ROLE SUMMARY:
The Consultant, Material Management is responsible for the design, configuration, support, optimization, and continuous improvement of SAP MM and procurement-related solutions across the organization. The role supports procurement, inventory management, warehouse operations, vendor management, and material planning processes while ensuring effective integration across SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, and SAP Ariba platforms. The consultant works closely with business stakeholders to deliver digital transformation initiatives, improve operational efficiency, enhance procurement governance, and support the organization's SAP S/4HANA roadmap.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Support, configure, and optimize SAP MM solutions across SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA environments for procurement, inventory management, warehousing, and material planning processes.
• Support SAP Ariba solutions including Supplier Lifecycle & Performance (SLP), Sourcing, Contract Management, and related procurement processes.
• Work with Procurement, Warehouse, Finance, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and Operations teams to gather requirements and deliver business solutions
• Configure and maintain procurement, purchasing, inventory management, material master, release strategies, goods movements, invoice verification, and warehouse-related processes.
• Support SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA transformation initiatives, including fit-gap analysis, testing, data migration, cutover, and post-go-live support.
• Prepare functional specifications, process documentation, test scripts, training materials, and user guides.
• Coordinate with SAP functional teams, integration teams, technical teams, and external vendors to deliver enhancements and resolve complex issues.
• Support master data governance for materials, vendors, purchasing information records, source lists, and procurement-related data.
• Provide functional support for incidents, service requests, system issues, and process-related challenges.
• Conduct user training, workshops, and knowledge-transfer sessions to improve adoption and effective utilization of SAP MM and SAP Ariba solutions.
• Support integration between SAP MM, SAP Ariba, Finance, Sales, Production, Maintenance, Logistics, and other enterprise applications
• Identify opportunities for procurement automation, process optimization, supplier collaboration, compliance improvement, and digital transformation.
QUALIFICATION & EDUCATION:
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE :
• Minimum 8 years of experience in SAP MM implementation, support, enhancement, and optimization projects. Experience with SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, SAP Ariba SLP, Sourcing, Contract Management, procurement, inventory management, warehouse operations, and supplier lifecycle management is preferred.
• Good knowledge of FICO, SD, PP, QM, HR, PM, BW, system integrations, and end-to-end business processes.
SKILLS:
• Strong knowledge of SAP MM, SAP S/4HANA Procurement, SAP Ariba, inventory management, procurement processes, supplier management, and system integrations.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, stakeholder management, business process improvement, testing, and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• SAP MM, SAP Ariba, SAP S/4HANA Procurement, or relevant SAP certifications preferred.
• Experience with SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, Ariba SLP, Sourcing, Contract Management, and integration with other SAP modules is an advantage.
