Our guests’ safety and comfort always come first. Which is why we’re looking for an experienced and hands-on engineering professional to support the Director of Engineering in overseeing the hotel’s engineering operations. As our Assistant Director of Engineering, you will help lead and coach the engineering team, ensuring that all maintenance activities are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards.

- Assisting the Director of Engineering in managing the daily engineering and maintenance operations of the hotel.
- Supervising and coordinating the engineering team to ensure tasks are assigned effectively and completed on time.
- Ensuring the hotel’s facilities, equipment, and systems are maintained in safe and excellent working condition.
- Monitoring preventive and corrective maintenance activities and following up on outstanding maintenance requests.
- Supporting the team in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, and carpentry systems.
- Ensuring compliance with hotel standards, health and safety requirements, and applicable local regulations.
- Assisting with the planning and control of engineering supplies, spare parts, tools, and equipment while minimising waste.
- Supporting energy-saving and environmental initiatives in line with the hotel’s sustainability goals.
- Responding flexibly to urgent and ad-hoc maintenance requirements to ensure smooth hotel operations.
- Building and maintaining strong working relationships with hotel departments, contractors, suppliers, guests, and regulatory authorities as required.
- Supporting the Director of Engineering with engineering projects, inspections, reports, and team performance.
- Diploma or degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related technical field; vocational training or equivalent experience may also be considered.
- Previous experience in hotel engineering, facilities management, building maintenance, or a related field.
- Proven experience supervising or leading an engineering or maintenance team.
- Good technical knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, and carpentry systems.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and organisational skills.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and hotel engineering operations.
- Ability to respond effectively
