CREDIT AND COLLECTIONS MANAGER
The Credit and Collections Manager is charged with the responsibility for the effective administration of Saint-Gobain ADFORS Accounts Receivable and Credit Collection policy. The incumbent assures credit and collection strategy to maximize cash flow and minimize financial risk. Broadly defined, this responsibility includes the development of the credit policy through recommended tasks and standards. Responsible for establishing customer credit terms and limits, and maintaining the policy by making suggested adjustments due to changes in business conditions or specific circumstances.
Constant monitoring and awareness of customer’s accounts is essential, as well as outside monetary events whether they impact a customer, a group of customers, a country, or domestic and foreign markets. At all times, the emphasis must be on cash collections and the proper application of funds to the customer base. In addition, this position will interface with other Departments to ensure that the latest actions affecting a customer are known.
This person is responsible for reviewing the sales tax rules with the Saint-Gobain tax department, and coordinating the collection of sales tax exemption certificates, and other documentation required to minimize sales tax exposure. Finally, the incumbent is responsible for the maintenance and follow-up of Agent Commission Agreements and Royalty Contracts. As such, they calculate and pay out amounts as outlined in the Contracts, on time and correctly.
A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or a related field is required. Three to five years of experience working in credit and collections is required. The incumbent must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and knowledge of SAP ERP is preferred. Supervisory experience is a plus.
