Wells Fargo is seeking a Project Manager within the Branch Banking and Affluent Group Portfolio Delivery team as part of Consumer and Small Business Banking.

In this role, you will:

  • Be accountable for direct and independent management of low to moderate risk projects.

  • Participate as a member of larger effort(s) to independently manage sub-program component(s) of moderate complexity under the purview of a program/project leader.

  • Influence sponsors and stakeholders to promote success of project prioritization and obstacle management.

  • Perform all usual duties of a Project Manager in accordance with policy, methodology and artifact creation.

  • Identify and capture basic project dependencies and interdependencies, ensure alignment of actions and artifacts with project policy, methodology and appropriate business deliverables are produced, maintained and milestones are met.

  • Exercise independent judgment to guide project plans, resolution of issues and ensure project tasks are completed according to established timelines.

  • Collaborate and consult with subject matter experts, sponsors, stakeholders, project roles, direct managers, program leads, project individuals, risk managers, business partners and outside vendors.


Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Project Management and Methodologies, Strategic Planning, or Implementation experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.


Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience working with line of business leaders to implement business & organizational strategy solutions to evolve retail products, services or banker behavior framework.

  • Ability to manage in a matrixed organization environment.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills; strong understanding of core enterprise functions and capabilities.

  • Experience with Industry standard Project Management methodologies, frameworks (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, or SDLC), and processes

  • Knowledge of PM tools (Clarity or MS Project), SharePoint, JIRA and JIRA Align

  • Experience working on large-scale organizational change initiatives while working closely with senior leaders across the enterprise.

  • Ability to present and discuss information in a manner that persuades, educates, and enhances understanding at all levels.

  • Leads by example with high energy, transparency, relationship management, and influencing skills as well as having comfort with ambiguity and an orientation towards change.

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, combined with strategic business focus and vision as well as process orientation and enforcement.

  • Proven record of being able to manage multiple project efforts at the same time.

  • Provides clear and concise written and verbal communication for project status and escalates appropriately to remove roadblocks.


Job Expectations:

  • Collaborate with the business, assist in defining the required project or product operating model or infrastructure changes partnering with impacted parties and program managers to build this into the roadmap and delivery plans.

  • Support senior project or program managers in change delivery to Branch Banking or Affluent business leads and sponsors on initiative sizing, scoping and delivery.

  • Ensure changes to the business adhere to ECM policy and are sustainable.

  • Assist in monitoring and guiding all new or proposed change initiatives while supporting business leads to make informed and strategic prioritization decisions to manage internal and external dependencies.

  • Help to identify potential risks and/or collision points among other work efforts by connecting the dots within the organization or broader enterprise.

  • Develop, maintain or contribute to project plan(s) supporting the Branch Banking & Affluent GPD

  • Partner with key stakeholders to achieve signoffs and approvals when required. Ensure Group Portfolio Delivery (GPD), technology, and policy stakeholders are in agreement on approaches and actively supporting delivery through a formalized intake process that includes a thorough impact assessment stage including technology, risk & controls, etc.

  • Support analysis and decision making with a specific focus on business impacts associated with new initiatives, projects, and changes to policies, procedures and processes.
