Your Impact


The Safety and Training Lead is a key high-level position within the Deckers Distribution Facilities. The Safety and Training Lead reports to the Loss Prevention, Safety, and Training Supervisor. This position provides communication, and direction, and mitigates all Safety and Training concerns to Leadership and floor associates within the Deckers Distribution Facility. The Safety and Training Lead works in conjunction with the Loss Prevention, Safety, and Training Supervisor in leading the effort to champion the DC Safety program and provides guidance and direction within the Training Department to Deckers Leadership and On-Site Temporary agency efficiently and effectively


Some of the key responsibilities include. The Safety and Training Lead position requires flexibility and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Requires the ability to properly communicate at all levels of management



Who You Are


Serve as the Safety and Training Department representative to all DC Leadership and production floor associates to ensure total buy-in, as it relates to the reduction of safety incidents by engaging, coaching, and training. The Safety and Training Lead will assist in creating, implementing, and enforcing OSHA standards/programs and Safety Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to all DC Leaders and associates. The Safety and Training Lead will maintain confidentiality involving safety incidents/recordables for Deckers and on-site Temporary agency associates. The Safety and Training Lead will conduct safety inspections, incident investigations, analysis, safety training, and safety reporting upon request to prevent reoccurrence. The Safety and Training Lead will be required to prepare internal communications with regard to safety concerns to ensure regulatory compliance within the facility. The Safety and Training Lead will also be required to respond to emergency situations and participates in safety incident investigations. The Safety and Training Lead will also act as a resource and support the implementation and execution of the Safety and Training Programs. The Safety and Training Lead ensures OSHA compliance and proper communication regarding Power Industrial Truck (PIT) training to all operators. The Safety and Training Lead will perform and or coordinate the facility on-boarding process of new hires/operators, and, updates new material as needed. The Safety and Training Lead will develop and maintain professional relationships with peers, DC Leaders, and on-site Temporary agencies. The Safety and Training Lead will work closely with the on-site temporary agencies. The Safety and Training Lead will conduct and or coordinate the hands-on training for all new PIT operators. The Safety and Training Lead will ensure all new PIT operators are safely operating within our facility and attend Deckers Buddy Training Program. The Safety and Training Lead will coordinate and or conduct final evaluations with DC Leaders to ensure all operators can safely operate within our facility and can adhere to the DC practices and procedures

  • Time management ability to balance special project and day today responsibilities.

  • 3+ years of proven progressive leadership abilities.

  • 5+ years of DC experience.

  • Experience with iWarehouse or similar PIT tracking software. OSHA 10/30 and First Aid/CPR/AED certified.

  • Raymond Train the Trainer or similar certification.

  • Demonstrates the ability and knowledge of working with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Power-Point, Visio, Outlook, and Excel.
