Pay Range:


$15.120 - $17.387/hour



This range is based upon available budget funds. The selected candidate’s skills, abilities, education, and experience will determine the salary offer within this posted range

Examples of Work




  • Serves as first point of contact for the assigned VR office. Responds to basic questions, refers visitors and callers to the appropriate staff.

  • Coordinates logistics for meetings and workshops including travel, time, agenda, registration, equipment, invitees, food, lodging, and contracts as well as payments for vendors and participants.

  • Coordinates printing and ordering across Nebraska VR field offices.

  • Assists with VR marketing materials. Creates correspondence, forms, brochures, presentations, reports, summaries, and other mailings for workshops, conferences, meetings, etc.

  • Sorts and distributes incoming mail, prepares letters, and other outgoing materials. Files, makes copies, routes and faxes information, and maintains mailing list.

  • Assists with creation and maintenance of VR forms (e.g., applications, assessment, client assignment).

  • Completes client verification forms for employment eligibility (e.g., Work Opportunity Tax Credit, identity, and employment authorizations).

  • Processes expense reimbursements, payments, purchase requests, travel requests, and other staff documents.

  • Collaborates with other Office Associates to carry out clerical functions and processes in support of the department.

  • Demonstrates commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.





Qualifications / Requirements




Minimum Qualifications:


High school diploma or equivalent and two years of experience related to the essential functions of the position. Any equivalent education and/or work experience may be substituted in order to meet the minimum qualifications of the position




Preferred Qualifications:


Postsecondary degree (or credential) in office management, administrative assistant, or related fields, experience with marketing projects and customer service, and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
