Recruitment Specialist (On-site)

Job Summary:

This position will participate in full-cycle recruitment activities for Gavilon’s corporate shared services and Feed Ingredients departments. Additionally, this position will support Gavilon’s college/university recruitment initiatives.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Source, screen & qualify candidates, reviewing applications and evaluate work history, education and training, job skills, compensation needs, and other qualifications of applicants

  • Coordinate interviews & schedules, booking candidate travel when needed

  • Work with hiring managers to create, review, and post approved positions, collaborating on the recruitment strategy that will be used

  • Consult other members of the Human Resource Team to recommend pay rates & terms of employment

  • Establish and maintain working relationships with 3rd-party recruitment resources, reviewing contract agreements and working with Legal department as needed

  • Prepare & distribute offer letters

  • Extend offers and close position requisitions

  • Maintain applicant tracking system

  • Demonstrate regular attendance and timeliness in reporting to work, meetings and completing assignments

  • Ability to work and interact well with others

  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information

  • 1-3 years’ experience in corporate recruiting

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, or related field required

  • Outstanding communication & interpersonal skills

  • Strong Microsoft Office suite skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, & Word

  • Ability to travel

  • High energy individual who is flexible and willing to learn

  • Ability to research, problem-solve, and find plausible solutions

Special Demands:

  • Ability to travel up to 50% of time during peak recruiting seasons (fall and spring university recruitment)

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 90% of the time

  • Position requires operation of a computer and other standard office equipment, such as a copy machine, calculator, computer printer, phone up to 90% of the time

  • Frequently communicates with employees and customers in the office and at remote locations
