Responsibilities

Valley Hospital is a 122 bed psychiatric hospital located in Phoenix, Arizona. Valley features individual units for adults and offers inpatient acute care and intensive outpatient programs including Freedom Care, a dedicated first responder and military program. Valley Hospital is built on three core principles, outstanding care, compassionate people and unparalleled service.

This is a onsite, in-person position located in Phoenix, AZ (36th Street and Thomas Road)

There is no set schedule for this position

This opportunity offers the flexability of PER DIEM (as needed) hours

The Licensed Inpatient Program Therapist performs social services and psychotherapy functions to include assisting patients in meeting their biopsychosocial needs while providing assessment, diagnosis, and psychotherapy treatment of individuals, couples, families, and groups to assist patient’s in achieving their optimal level of emotional health, including providing basic consultation, psycho-education, complete specialized clinical psychotherapy services for patients/families receiving care, crisis intervention, short-term family therapy, and providing information and referrals as needed.

Qualifications
  • Education: Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in social work, mental health, or related degree required.
  • Experience: A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a healthcare setting or managed care company with experience in patient assessment, treatment planning, utilization management, and/or case management.
  • Licensure: LMSW, LCSW, LAC, LPC, LIASC, LMFT, or other healthcare – related licensure preferred. If not licensed, must be able to obtain license within 6 months of hire.
  • Additional Requirements: Successful completion of Management of Aggressive Behavior (SAMA). Must have valid CPR card upon hire.
