WHO are we looking for?

CAPTRUST is seeking a Director to lead revenue management including process improvements, team management and oversight, contract to cash system enhancement and revenue accounting management. As part of the Finance Team, the successful candidate will be able to impact efficiency and to provide ideas for process improvements. Our ideal candidate will have corporate financial accounting experience in a very fast-paced work environment. He/She/They will maintain the highest professional and ethical standards, be well-organized, service-oriented, collaborative, and accountable while performing under tight deadlines. Primary responsibilities may include the following, among others:

Job Responsibilities:
  • Manage and direct staff of seven including one direct report
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly and quarterly billings
  • Ensure the accuracy of revenue reporting in financial statements in accordance with GAAP and compliance to internal policies
  • Assist in preparation and review of monthly revenue journal entries
  • Ensure that all balance sheet accounts are reconciled monthly
  • Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure
  • Assist with preparation and build-up of annual revenue budget by business line
  • Provide support for annual audits
  • Interface with customers – both internal and external
  • Collaborate with the other department managers to support overall department goals and objectives
  • Participate in various miscellaneous projects as required
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration
  • 10+ years of accounting experience with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisor capacity in a corporate environment
  • System mapping and system improvement experience
  • Process improvement experience
  • Strong analytical skills
  • System engineering exposure
Desired Qualifications/Skills:
  • Accounting background/education
  • Experience in billings, invoicing, and accounts receivable preferred
  • Knowledge of financial services industry is preferred, not required
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience a plus
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
