Product Photography Specialist

Job Description
  • Studio Performance:
  • Prep, photograph, procure and edit a high volume of products to support both eCommerce and Marketing business needs
  • Research and test new photography and media techniques, tools, and technology that will help meet customer needs and increase conversions
  • Oversee that images are labeled, organized, stored, and archived appropriately upon editing completion
  • Reporting & Analysis:
  • Prepare and deliver photo studio KPI reports on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Utilize Google Analytics and other web reporting platforms to research and curate lists of underperforming SKUs requiring new/updated image content.
  • Utilize analytics to provide evidence of new photography and media impact on the web
  • Collaboration:
  • Coordinate with the Studio Supervisor and Marketing Managers on current supplier funded photography contract deliverables
  • Manage product sample workflow process in partnership with Warehouse Operations
  • Coordinate with Content managers on product photography requests
  • Communicate project progress and potential challenges to supervisor
  • Produce best in class product photography using established guidelines for lighting, styling, and set-up specifications.
  • Ensure the proper quality assurance techniques are followed, verifying accuracy of the product before image capture and ensure image retouching is kept to a minimum.
  • Conduct additional post-processing activities on product images as needed.
  • Utilize Google Analytics and other web reporting platforms to research and curate lists of underperforming SKUs requiring new/updated image content.
  • Monitor product click-through rate, conversion, and other relevant metrics to validate and report on effectiveness of refreshed image content.
  • Use independent judgment to problem solve and make recommendations to improve workflow and business process efficiency.
  • Assist with providing maintenance and security of photography related equipment and studio space.

About the role

The Product Photography Specialist is responsible for producing still shots and 360 spin imagery based on the requirements and needs of the business. This role uses data to drive all decision making around imagery needs for our product detail pages by gathering, analyzing and tracking relevant SKU data to maximize product click-through rate and sales.

What we\'re looking for

  • Advanced knowledge of digital capture applications and image editing applications to handle basic digital image retouching and color correction, silos, color balancing, shadow creation, etc.
  • Experience with analyzing basic web performance KPI\'s using Google Analytics or other web analytic programs
  • Ability to work within a highly dynamic environment while maintaining the flexibility to adjust to changing business needs.
  • Degree in technical discipline or related experience and/or training; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 4+ year\'s working in a mass data management related function.
  • 4+ years working with Google Analytics or like Product
