We are excited to announce an examination to create an eligibility list to fill multiple vacancies for the classification of Senior Systems Support Analyst in the Department of Information Technology. This is the advanced level position of the System Support Analyst series and provides support in a variety of teams and departments throughout the City. The eligibility list may be utilized to fill vacancies for this classification for up to one (1) year. *This is an open and continuous recruitment which will remain open for a minimum of seven (7) calendar days and will close without notice once a sufficient pool of highly-qualified applicants has been created.

Primary responsibilities are performing complex systems analysis, architecture, engineering, management, and operations work in support of mission critical technology systems. Our current openings support the Web Team and Public Safety Team and ideal skills for these focus areas are listed below:

City Infrastructure Services Team
  • Experience supporting enterprise custom developed systems, hosted systems, and/or commercial off-the-shelf systems
  • Direct technical experience with EnerGov and Maximo is desirable
Public Safety Team
  • Experience supporting Public Safety systems, including Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) and records systems
  • Experience supporting mobile computing and wireless networking clients
  • Knowledge of Police and Fire department business processes
  • Strong customer advocacy and customer relationship skills
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor\'s degree from an accredited college or university in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Four (4) years of experience in design, implementation, and support of enterprise-level systems and/or custom software development
  • Note: An equivalent combination of related training and experience may be considered
  • Must pass a nationwide fingerprint-based record check, and a wants/warrants check.
  • Must complete Security Awareness and National Crime Information Center (NCIC)/Nevada Criminal Justice Information System (NCJIS) certification within six months of hire/transfer and be recertified every two years. Must maintain certifications in NCIC/NCJIS as a condition of continued employment.
  • Technical certifications related to specific job duties of your assigned area may be required.
