Position Description:

The Behavior Technician Trainer (In-Home)\'s primary function will be training recently hired Behavior Technicians while in the client\'s home, ensuring that the new Behavior Technician can successfully provide individual treatment for children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder using Applied Behavior Analysis. In addition to their duties as a Behavior Technician Trainer, this role will assist in increasing the consistency of therapy and reducing client attrition by providing experienced coverage for other Behavior Technicians in the event of call-offs, vacations, and staffing changes.

Success measures include meeting all expected quality and service delivery standards, complying with payor requirements, adhering to Centria policies, and meeting or exceeding personal qualitative and quantitative key performance indicator (KPI) metrics such as BT utilization, client retention, and audit scores.

Responsibilities: * Provide training to Behavior Technicians while in the client\'s home.
  • Be prepared to answer questions and demonstrate ABA processes for the Behavior Technician.
  • Evaluate the competency levels of the Behavior Technician to ensure adequate services will be provided to the client and family.
  • Create a positive learning environment, clearly conveying objectives, encouraging and motivating trainees, and evaluation learning outcomes.
  • Assess training needs and continually develop training program to meet those needs.
  • Provide coverage for Behavior Technicians on a needed basis, providing therapy services directly to clients utilizing a combination of intensive teaching and natural environment training arrangements.
  • Follow the prescribed behavioral skill acquisitions, behavior reduction protocols, and client behavioral plans.
  • Observe client behavior and collect, record, and summarize data on such.
  • Assist with parent and caregiver training in line with the client\'s individualized treatment and behavior reduction protocols.
  • Ensure documentation is completed on time and following established Centria procedures.
  • Effectively communicate with parents and caregivers regarding client progress under the instruction of the Supervising Clinician or BCBA.
  • Utilize safe and appropriate procedures when working with clients, including de-escalation of client behaviors.
  • Appropriately report all critical incidents and safety concerns in accordance with payor requirements and Centria\'s reporting policies.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment to effectively work with the client and provide therapy services.
  • Participate in ongoing training as required.
  • Maintain all necessary certifications and training once employed, including, but not limited to, CPR and First Aid certifications.
  • Attend Behavior Technician training and other company in-services and training as directed by the direct leader and compliance teams.
Required Qualifications, Skills, and Knowledge:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be QBS trained
  • RBT Certification required
  • CPR Certification required
  • First Aid Certification required
  • TB Test required
  • 1+ years field experience delivering ABA therapy
  • Basic computer skills and working knowledge of tablets/iPads
  • Laptop
  • G Suite (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Google Meet)
  • ABA Platforms, preferred
  • CareConnect, preferred
  • Zoom, preferred
  • Proven experience and willingness to work with multiple ages and programming needs positively and professionally;
  • Ability to interpret and implement verbal and written clinical protocols;
  • Ability to accept constructive feedback and develop expertise and skillsets accordingly;
  • Effective time management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks at once;
  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with clients, co-workers, supervisors, and community members;
  • Ability to adhere to organizational policies and procedures and abide by the code of ethics as indicated by the RBT Ethics Code and Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB);
  • Commitment to maintain client confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA laws;
  • Commitment to ongoing training and development as it relates to clinical skills, professional development, ethics, and technology, and training to perform job responsibilities to the required standard;
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with clients, internal and external stakeholders;
  • Strong cultural competency with the ability to remain flexible and open-minded.
Working Conditions:

Centria\'s office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30am-6:00pm, with primary hours conducted after school hours (3:00 pm - 8:00 pm). The work location will vary by client case and include home or community. Additional time or flex schedules may be required to complete above work or meet company objectives.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the team member may be exposed to a client who exhibits physically aggressive behavior, which can include kicking, pinching, punching, biting, hitting, etc. The team member may need to use appropriate behavior management techniques with a client, which requires agility, quick reflexes, strength, the ability to run, utilize approved de-escalation procedures, and the ability to use physically evasive movement. The team member will be required to stand, walk, sit, grasp, reach, bend, kneel, crouch, squat, lift and carry the child, hear, type, see, and write. The team member must be able to push independently, pull, lift, move, and carry objects weighing up to seventy-five (75) pounds.
