Responsibilities

Our professionals help our clients transform their business processes, improve internal controls, improve efficiency of operations, increase transparency and performance management, and comply with Federal laws and regulations. In this role, you will work with a project team to complete engagement deliverables such as:
  • Develop and/or update process documentation (e.g., narratives and flow charts)
  • Develop and/or implement corrective action plans to address findings
  • Perform routine evaluations on the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls
  • Apply federal accounting, financial management, and audit knowledge/expertise to support the development of solutions
  • Support ad hoc requests such as researching topical accounting/auditing issues, developing and reviewing position papers, etc.
Qualifications

Required:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of full-time financial management and/or internal controls experience. Experience may include audit readiness, audit remediation, internal audit, and/or financial statement audit.
Preferred:
  • Master’s Degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • Professional consulting experience
  • Public Health and/or Federal Government experience
  • Demonstrated abilities in developing written communications in a variety of different formats that include but are not limited to PowerPoint presentations, position or whitepapers, outlines, and speaker talking points.
  • Demonstrated abilities analyzing detailed finance and accounting processes to identify control gaps and improvement opportunities, and planning and performing tests of controls and balances (substantive testing).
