TMC Bonham Hospital

Date: Sep 23, 2022
City: St. Louis, MO
Contract type: Full time
TMC Bonham Hospital
Job Description:

Responsibilities

St. Louis Behavioral Medicine Institute (SLBMI) is seeking licensed clinciains with expertise (or passion to learn!) in the integration of religion/spirituality and evidence based psychotherapy to provide outpatient therapy. Typical patients are religious professionals, clergy, and the laity.

Clinicians in the program participate as a member of the program\'s assessment team, providing psychological evaluations for clergy and clergy candidates. Psychology and Religion Program clinicians can also choose to provide group therapy and present psychoeducational workshops in the community on topics related to spirituality and wellbeing, and clergy/minister wellness.

We strongly encourage applicants who have:

a) have graduate level training or substantial clinical experience in the integration of religion/spirituality and psychotherapy;

b) have expertise in psychological evaluation and report writing;

c) have excellent written and oral communication skills;

d) bring a clinical specialization which complements the Institute\'s current offerings (e.g., neuropsychology, addiction specialist, couples and family).

Clinicians who have expertise and competency with treating behavioral health conditions that extend outside of the Psychology and Religion Program are able to tailor their caseloads to accomodate variety in symptom presentations.

Please see our website https://www.slbmi.com for more information about SLBMI.

We are open to eligible candidates located outside of the St. Louis region who may be interested in joining our team through providing telehealth services. Interested candidates for this option must be professionally licensed in Missouri or be able to provide telehealth through PSYPACT credentialing.

What are the Benefits of joining our team?

Our clinicians enjoy the aspects of being an independent provider that are appealing, while having the administrative and operational support to manage everything else that you need as a provider. As a full-time employee of SLBMI, we offer:
  • a centralized intake office that screens and schedules a steady flow of clients for clinicians;
  • an efficient and professionally run billing service;
  • marketing support;
  • assistance in managing managed care, including credentialing, and consultation on practice development.
  • We encourage our clinicians to schedule their practice in ways that allow them to achieve their lifestyle preferences, while still maintaining an active patient caseload and participating in their specialty program needs.
  • We utilize a compensation plan based upon percentage of net cash collections for our clinicians, again allowing our clinicians to have more independence in their practice while earning competitive compensation. Such a model allows for work-life balance, while also providing the ability to earn more if the clinician desires to have a larger caseload.
You would also be part of a multidisciplinary team 70+ excellent colleagues willing to share their clinical expertise for case consultation, continuing education, and program development. We support our clinicians to further their career through providing opportunities for clinical presentations/speaking opportunities, consultations, research, and continuing education.

SLBMI also provides a comprehensive benefits package, rarely found in private practice, including professional liability insurance, medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug plans, paid time off, 401(K) with company match and discounted stock plans.

If you believe that your clinical experience is more general in nature and your knowledge base is not as specialized as our programs are structured, you may want to consider speaking with us about our Specialist-in-Training option.

What is the Specialist in Training model option?

The Specialist-in-Training model is housed within a full-time salaried base guarantee plan (benefits-eligible). This is a transition plan while onboarding and training into a full-time compensation-based clinical position with SLBMI.

This training salaried model consists of a one to six month period, tailored to individual clinician\'s needs. Generally this time consists of: weekly supervision; assigned reading; didactic sessions to discuss the readings and receive additional education; increased conceptualization in treatment plans reviewed by your supervisor; attendance of open supervision and discussion of other SLBMI programs that may be part of your training time. Other types of activities may be possible which would enhance your skills as a clinician in general, as well as within your specialty area.

The overall goals are:

1) to solidify your knowledge of the scientific, theoretical, and therapeutic approaches to working within your specialty program area,

2) to enhance your ability to perform relevant evaluations and assessments,

3) to effectively apply scientific knowledge within the context of your psychological interventions, and

4) to independently evaluate and provide therapeutic practice for the specific program you are working within.

Specialist-in-Training applicants are accepted year-round.

Qualifications
  • Interested applicants must be fully licensed in Missouri (as either a Psychologist, LCSW, or LPC) or PSYPACT credentialed, and credentialed (or credentialed-eligible) on managed care panels in Missouri. Please expect 90-days for credentialing to be completed prior to starting.
  • Doctorate degree in Psychology or Master\'s degree in a psychology-related field (such as an LCSW) required.
  • Please see Job Description for additional requirements.
  • We encourage applicants with subspecialty interests and training.
