About the Indiana Office of Technology (IOT):

The Indiana Office of Technology provides cost-effective, secure, consistent, reliable enterprise-technology services to our partner agencies so that they can better serve our mutual customer, the Hoosier taxpayer. IOT will also act as the technology and solution enabler for the State, helping its partner agencies achieve business objectives and innovation.

Role Overview:

The The Business Systems Liaison provides support to agencies that utilize IOT services. You will work with the imbedded Business or IT Directors in various agencies to improve relationships and to assess needs.

A Day in the Life:

As a Liaison, you will meet with designated strategy partner agencies monthly (at a minimum) to discuss the following topics:
  • Performance Reports - Two reports showing the agency how IOT is performing against IOT\'s SLO\'s on the agencies specific issues.
  • IOT Services Catalog(s) - Answer questions regarding the 190+ IOT services. Discuss/recommend services the agency is not currently using that may be helpful to their business.
  • IOT Bill - Review and explain the agencies’ IOT bill to ensure the agency is receiving maximum value for it\'s IT dollars.
  • Service Improvement - Be the Point of Contact (POC) for IOT service improvement suggestions from the agency. Bring suggestions back to the IOT Executive Management Team to review.
  • Issue Escalation - Be the POC for issues that are not being resolved within IOT\'s SLA using the standard method of issue resolution.
  • IT Strategy - Be the POC to discuss future IT related projects the agency is considering. Then bring them to the IOT Architect Team to determine IOT\'s involvement.
  • IT System Changes - Discuss upcoming IOT projects that may affect the agency, and the agencies near-term, significant changes to their IT system(s)/application(s) so IOT can get a heads-up. Then bring the information to the IOT Change Manager so they can include these changes in IOT\'s Change Management System.

What You\'ll Need for Success:
  • 10+ years of experience dealing with management (deputies, directors, executives)
  • 10+ years of technology experience in multiple areas of infrastructure services.
  • Solid understanding of Information Technology Services.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Excellent problem solver.
  • Ability to manage priorities well.
Supervisory Responsibilities/Direct Reports:

This role does not provide direct supervision to direct reports.

Salary:

This position traditionally starts at an annual salary of $80,000. Salary for this position may be commensurate with education and job experience.
