Workshop Manager

About the Role:

As a Workshop Manager, you will lead, manage, and oversee all workshop operations related to the maintenance, repair, and compliance of company vehicles. Your primary focus will be ensuring the highest levels of fleet availability, safety regulatory adherence, and cost efficiency.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage day to day operations of the workshop and supervise workshop staff
• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for all fleet vehicles
• Ensure all trucks comply with regulatory standards
• Coordinate with procurement for spare parts and consumables in a cost effective and timely manner
• Monitor maintenance performance metrics such as downtime, repeat repairs, and part usage
• Implement and enforce safety, housekeeping and environmental standards in the workshop
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, service and inspections
• Provide technical support in the evaluation of fleet condition, replacement planning and procurement

Qualifications, Skills & Aptitudes:

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role managing a fleet workshop, with a preference for experience in logistics or transport.
• Strong understanding of diesel engine systems, heavy-duty trucks, and trailers.
• Solid understanding of maintenance systems, preventative maintenance practices, and inventory control.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and workshop management systems.
• Familiarity with KSA vehicle compliance regulations.
• Knowledge in maintenance management systems.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals and repair guides effectively.
• Proficiency in PC operations and Microsoft Office Suite
• Proficiency in both English and Arabic is required.
