What You’ll Do

As a Winder you will:

• Perform mechanical disassembly / reassembly of generator rotors in high quality and timely fashion - (to include removal and installation of coupling, fans, retaining rings, blower hubs, wedges, blocking)
• Perform major and minor repairs on Generator Stator ( End winding Repairs /
• Full stator Rewinds / Wedging / Applying Chemicals / RTD connections / High voltage bushing replacement and all other related repairs )
• Perform this work using drawings, work procedures or work orders with minimal supervision.
• Braze either by torch, carbon or induction.
• Perform all electrical tests and inspections.
• Troubleshoot electrical or mechanical issues.
  
  

What You’ll Bring (Basic Qualifications)

• Must have achieved a High School Diploma, GED Or equivalent Two-year technical or Trade School Degree.
• Significant years of experience on conducting and performing large generator repairs inclusive of (Generator Stator rewinds / Generator stator re-wedge / High voltage bushing replacement / End winding repairs / Generator rotor repairs / Brazing / etc.. ) in industrial and/or utility power plant.
• Performing mechanical component disassembly / reassembly work on large
• generators.
• Having experience on conducting testing / inspection of generators in excess of 80 Megawatts .
• English language is a must.
  
  

Eligibility Requirements

• Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States .
• Ability and willingness to travel on short notice to customer sites located domestically and internationally 100% of the time .
• Ability and willingness to obtain and maintain unescorted access to a nuclear
• fueled facility.
• Ability and willingness to work overtime and weekend shifts.
• Must pass drug and background screens.
  
  

What Will Make You Stand Out

• Accomplished skills in their trade with experience on PG Equipment.
• Ability or prior experience leading or supervising a team .
• Basic Computer Skills.
