Job Description

Role Purpose:

Support and maintain the Virtual environment by managing virtual desktops, servers, and resources to ensure system reliability, security, and a seamless user experience.

Key Accountabilities:

1-Support the day-to-day operations of the VMware environment:

• Promptly respond to user incidents and service requests related to virtual desktops and servers within agreed SLA.
• Continuously monitor system health and performance
• Identify and resolve issues proactively to minimize downtime and user impact.

2-Manage virtual desktops, servers, and resources:

• Create and maintain golden images,desktop pools and RDSH applications.
• Assign and manage virtual servers and VDI components.
• Opimize resource allocation to enhance performance and user experience.

3-Maintain system integrity and compliance:

• Apply upgrades and patches to ESXi servers, golden images, and VDI components.
• Perform routine maintenance and ensure adherence to security and compliance standards.

4-Documentation and share technical knowledge:

• Create and maintain technical documentation, configuration details, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Contribute to internal knowledge bases and team collaboration platforms.

Skills

Technical:

• Basic understanding of VMware Horizon and vSphere and ESXi
• Familiar with UAG, Connection Servers, and App Volumes
• Knowledge of Windows 11 and Windows servers
• Basic PowerShell scripting (preferred)

Soft Skills:

• Good troubleshooting and communication skills
• Team player with attention to detail
• Ability to manage tasks within SLA and follow documentation standards
