Title and Summary
Vice President, Consumer
As the Vice President for Consumer in West Arabia, you will direct the application of MasterCard assets in Credit, Debit, Prepaid, Processing, Digital First Solutions and others such as local benefit partnerships including P&L Management, Consumer Products Value Proposition & Portfolio Optimization, Cross Border and Card-not-Present Optimization, among other activities. The role is critical for Mastercard to strengthen its position in the Consumer space resulting in an increased revenue contribution.
You will also channel market needs to global based product managers to help guide product development. As a key member of the Divisional CSC (Customer Solution Center) Leadership team, you will guide divisional presidents and country managers in setting Consumer solutions strategies and plans for the respective geographies.
You will also participate and contribute to overall CSC management through organizational structures set up by the CSC Lead / regional consumer lead to secure the continued focus as product and services sales specialists, while bringing the sales and product management functions closer together. With a focus to accelerate the rapid refinement and commercialization of our products.

Role
- Develop and execute the Consumer product strategy for the West Arabia. The strategy should cover both near term and longer term (3-5 year) planning. The strategy should be integrated with the EEMEA Region, Segment, Division, and country strategies; and reflect/support global Consumer product priorities. This person needs a profound understanding of MasterCard’s product assets.
- Lead the Consumer solutions regional team, to maximize success in the execution of the Consumer product strategy
- Guide and support account teams in leveraging Consumer solutions assets to strengthen MasterCard strategic positions and capture new revenue opportunities
- Customize global products and adding local content as necessary to address market needs
- Building consumer facing products developed by Global product organization and turned them into Solutions addressing best the West Arabia market needs.
- Identify and develop local partnerships to help accelerate the delivery of loyalty solutions
- Ensure quality deployment and implementations. Promote product management excellence.
- Build a culture of innovation and responsiveness that differentiate MasterCard from competition and keep team in high morale/engagement.
- Partner with Finance, regional Digital and Consumer, Law & Franchise Integrity, Issuer Account Teams, etc. to ensure cross-functional alignment and maximum support
All About You
- Relevant experience in the payment industry; product management, market development, product development with extensive experience in Consumer/Digital Payments area. With exceptional relationship management expertise.
- Leadership position. People management experience of skilled professionals. Ability to work with senior management in diverse environment is key.
- Ideal candidate would have launched and/or managed multiple Payments services within financial institution, telco, or a payment service provider or Card schemes.
- Experience in developing Payments and other financial services in EEMEA markets.
- Strong business/technical background within the payments and financial services industries.
- Understanding of competitive offerings and industry trends
- Ability to interpret macro-economic and demographic trends, with an ability to craft research and validate processes that support the selection of features and functions that support Consumer payment growth opportunities
- Willingness to travel across the West Arabia markets and to the US as an when required is essential
- Bachelor/Master’s degree required; MBA preferred
