Urban Planner

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly qualified Junior Urban Planner.

This position requires a strong foundation in urban planning principles, analytical and spatial thinking, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal multidisciplinary teams. The Urban Planner will work closely with senior urban planners and design leaders contribute to the design, strategy, and implementation of diverse urban development projects.

The ideal candidate demonstrates a passion for shaping livable communities through data-driven planning, policy understanding, and collaborative design. and shall have Proficiency in GIS, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign)

Responsibilities

• Prepare and support planning studies, land use strategies, urban development frameworks, and masterplans.
• Collect, analyze, and visualize spatial, demographic, economic, and environmental data to inform planning decisions.
• Develop high-quality maps, diagrams, reports, and presentations to effectively communicate planning concepts and proposals.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, zoning codes, and policy frameworks.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other consultants to ensure integrated and multidisciplinary project delivery.
• Maintain organized project documentation and support project reporting requirements.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelors/ Masters Degree in Urban Planning

Experience: 3+ years’ experience as an Urban Planner

Skills/Competencies

• Solid understanding of urban planning principles, regulatory frameworks, and sustainable development practices.
• Strong illustration, typography, composition and spatial analysis skills.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, GIS & 3d Modeling.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English and Arabic.
• Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and contribute to multiple projects simultaneously.
