Requirements & Qualifications
Essential Requirements
- Educational background and certifications: Bachelor’s degree in Design, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum years of experience and specific industry experience: At least 4 years of professional experience in UI/UX design, preferably within tech or digital product industries.
- Core technical skills and proficiencies required: Strong proficiency in UI/UX design principles, user research methodologies, and prototyping techniques.
- Critical soft skills and behavioral competencies: Excellent communication, teamwork, and user-centered design focus.
Technical Qualifications
- Specific software, tools, and technologies: Familiarity with design tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma, and InVision.
- Programming languages, frameworks, or platforms: Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for better collaboration with developers.
- Industry-specific knowledge and expertise: Understanding of responsive design, accessibility standards, and usability testing techniques.
- Any required licenses or certifications: Nielsen Norman Group UX certification is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional education or advanced degrees: Master’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related fields is a plus.
- Bonus experience or specialized skills: Experience with mobile app design or working knowledge of design systems.
- Leadership or management experience if applicable: Previous experience leading design projects or teams is advantageous.
- Industry connections or domain expertise: Established network in the UI/UX community or relevant industry sectors.
