Trainee System Administrator

PAIS Gulf is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Trainee System Administrator to join our growing IT team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a passion for technology and a desire to build a career in system administration. As a Trainee, you will receive hands-on training and mentorship from experienced professionals, gradually gaining the skills and knowledge necessary to manage and maintain our IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Assist senior system administrators in the day-to-day maintenance and operation of our computer systems, including servers, networks, and applications.
• Learn to troubleshoot basic hardware, software, and network issues, escalating complex problems as needed.
• Participate in the setup and configuration of new workstations, servers, and other IT equipment under supervision.
• Contribute to the administration and maintenance of user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
• Assist in the implementation and monitoring of security measures to protect our systems and data.
• Learn to perform regular system backups and assist with data recovery procedures.
• Document IT procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends and best practices in system administration.
• Collaborate with other IT team members on projects and initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the IT department.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• A strong interest in computer systems, networking, and IT infrastructure.
• Basic understanding of operating systems (e.g., Windows Server, Linux).
• Familiarity with basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and learn quickly.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• A proactive and self-motivated approach to learning.
