Trade Marketing Manager

1. JOB PURPOSE:
Promotes and sells travel products through intermediaries like travel agents and tour operators. By building strong relationships with these partners and enhancing brand visibility, the manager aims to increase bookings and revenue. Responsibilities include strategic planning, market research, creating promotional materials, organizing events, and providing support and training to partners. Effectively managing these activities ensures travel products are successfully marketed through trade channels, contributing to the business’s growth and success.
2. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Planning:
Develop and execute comprehensive trade marketing strategies, establishing effective processes and fostering collaboration between trade marketing and other functions. Formulate joint marketing plans with all preferred partners to enhance market presence and drive business growth.
Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong partnerships with trade partners by providing training materials and ongoing support, facilitating ease of doing business. Maintain constant communication and participate in market visits with the sales team to strengthen relationships and drive mutual success.
Sales and Marketing Promotions and Events: Manage the creation of promotional and advertising materials in collaboration with trade partners, ensuring consistent branding and messaging across all activities. Manage joint marketing plans, drive activations to keep AROYA Cruises as a top-of-mind product, and execute outdoor initiatives in malls and office buildings to boost sales. Align and execute regional and international trade events to enhance trade engagement.
Direct Channels Activation:
Manage the development and communication of contact center product familiarization and training materials. Lead activations in malls and corporate settings to drive sales and increase brand awareness.
Market Research and Trade Community Management:
Collect and analyze feedback from trade partners to refine offerings and strategies. Develop, maintain, and update the trade partners portal to enhance engagement. Utilize data-driven insights to adjust marketing strategies and tactics effectively.
International Markets Management and Promotion:
Identify potential international source markets through thorough research. Manage a portfolio of campaigns, advertising, promotions, and other marketing efforts, negotiating service-level agreements to ensure successful outcomes and value for money. Plan, coordinate, and supervise major campaigns to ensure proper brand awareness, consideration, and execution in key markets. Develop and implement international trade marketing plans to empower trade partners in leading and executing initiatives.
Leadership and Management:
Manage the work of a team to ensure that processes and procedures are properly implemented and that the team is achieving defined objectives and standards.
3. EDUCATION:
- A bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication, business administration, or any related discipline is required.
- MBA or equivalent post-graduate qualification is preferred.
4. EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of six to eight years of experience in a relevant function and in progressively increasing leading responsibilities.
