Job Title: Thoracic Surgery Consultant

Location: Government Hospital – Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent ContractJob Summary:

The Thoracic Surgery Consultant is responsible for diagnosing and surgically treating conditions involving the chest, including the lungs, trachea, esophagus, and mediastinum. The consultant will provide specialized care, perform complex thoracic surgeries, and work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform major thoracic surgeries such as lobectomies, mediastinal mass excisions, and thoracoscopic procedures.
• Evaluate patients pre- and post-operatively and determine appropriate surgical plans.
• Utilize advanced surgical technologies including video-assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS) and minimally invasive techniques.
• Comply with all hospital protocols, surgical safety standards, and infection control measures.

Requirements:

• Doctorate or Fellowship in Thoracic Surgery from a recognized institution.
• Completed Dataflow report is required.
• A valid license from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) as Consultant is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of post-specialization experience in thoracic surgery.
• Advanced surgical skills and experience with complex thoracic cases.
• Strong decision-making abilities and capability to handle emergency surgical situations.
