WSP are seeking a skilled Telecommunication Inspector with hands-on experience in fiber optic systems, GSM technologies, and building technology systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting site inspections and ensuring compliance with technical standards across various telecommunications installations.

Responsibilities

• Inspect telecom infrastructure including GSM towers, fiber optic cable networks, field equipment cabinets, and equipment rooms.
• Conduct site inspections in accordance with design drawings, shop drawings, method statements, quality standards, and health & safety procedures.
• Perform quality control checks, material inspections, and monitor installation activities.
• Support testing and commissioning of telecom systems.
• Coordinate with telecom vendors, contractors, and project stakeholders to ensure smooth execution.
• Prepare and submit detailed inspection and progress reports.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and site regulations.
  
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communication Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience in telecom infrastructure inspection.
• Strong understanding of GSM, WCDMA, LTE, and 5G technologies.
• Familiarity with fiber optic systems, telecom tower infrastructure, and outdoor telecom enclosures.
• Experience with building technology systems including structured cabling, data networks, wireless access points, access control, CCTV, and other low current systems.
• Excellent documentation and QA/QC reporting skills.
• Valid driving license and flexibility to work across multiple site locations.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Passion for contributing to the development of smart and secure telecom systems.
