TECHNICIAN, LABORATORY (PRECAST)

Job description: Job Purpose

The Lab Technician is responsible for supervising and performing testing activities on received materials to ensure compliance with company quality standards. This role includes material receiving, testing, and verification of concrete orders to support continuous improvement in material testing.

Key Accountability Areas Material Preparation

• Mark sample specimens for testing.
• Prepare materials for concrete trial mixes as per project and quality improvement requirements.

2. Concrete Order Verification

• Verify that the concrete order for the batch plant matches the approved concrete mix design.

3. Material Receiving

• Review supplier/delivery documents against the purchase order.
• Log materials into the system upon acceptance.

4. Material Testing

• Conduct material tests for internal quality assurance, including:
  • Sieve analysis
  • Clay lumps
  • Sand equivalent
  • L.A. Abrasion
  • Specific gravity and absorption

Role Accountability

• Perform material testing, concrete order verification, and material receiving as per guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with company standards and industry best practices.
• Maintain accurate records of test results and material inspections.
• Collaborate with internal teams to enhance testing procedures.
