Technician

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance on equipment and systems in the energy and oil & gas sectors.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation issues.
• Conduct repairs and replace faulty components to ensure equipment operates efficiently.
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and systems.
• Ensure that all installations are completed according to specifications and safety standards.
• Test and calibrate equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations during maintenance and repair activities.
• Conduct regular safety inspections of equipment and work areas.
• Report any safety hazards or incidents to the supervisor.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
• Prepare detailed reports on equipment status, maintenance activities, and any issues encountered.
• Ensure all documentation is properly filed and accessible for audits and reviews.
• Monitor inventory levels of spare parts and tools.
• Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely ordering and replenishment of necessary supplies.
• Maintain an organized and efficient work area.
• Provide training and support to junior technicians and new team members.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or technical degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation Engineering.
• Minimum of 3+ of experience as a technician, preferably in the energy and oil & gas sectors.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and maintenance software.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.
