Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Technical Director of Architecture with a strong background in site supervision for a major project. This role will be responsible for overseeing the architectural aspects of the project, ensuring design integrity, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to manage and execute complex initiatives. The successful candidate will bring expertise in building codes, construction methods, and sustainable architecture, working closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure project milestones are met within scope, time, and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Act as the on-site lead, supervising architectural components, ensuring construction aligns with design specifications, and coordinating real-time adjustments as needed.
- Provide leadership in reviewing architectural designs, drawings, and construction documents to ensure they meet technical and aesthetic standards.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and clients, maintaining clear and continuous communication on project progress, challenges, and resolutions.
- Ensure the quality of architectural work, conducting site inspections to verify compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and regulatory codes.
- Assist with budget reviews and track project milestones to maintain cost-effective project delivery within established timelines.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture or related field.
- Minimum of 20+ years’ experience in architecture, with at least 8+ in a supervisory role on either supervision or PMC contracts.
- Proficiency in design and project management software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, BIM), and familiarity with sustainable architecture practices.
- Strong understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and modern construction techniques,
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills, with an ability to collaborate across diverse project teams.
- Proven problem-solving skills, with experience in troubleshooting on-site construction and design issues.
