Job Description

Parsons is looking for an experienced Technical Design Manager to join our team! In this role, you will manage and coordinate the technical delivery of design packages across multidisciplinary projects, ensuring quality, compliance, and timely delivery in line with client expectations and project goals.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Managing and coordinating the execution of design deliverables across multiple projects.
• Supporting Project Managers and Design Managers in developing and implementing resource plans.
• Overseeing the preparation of technical documentation including drawings, reports, and tender packages.
• Participating in design reviews, value engineering workshops, and technical coordination meetings.
• Ensuring compliance of designs with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.
• Monitoring progress and performance of the design team against schedule, cost, and quality metrics.
• Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure integrated design solutions.
• Supporting the resolution of technical challenges during design development.
• Promoting digital engineering workflows and quality assurance processes.
• Assisting with internal knowledge sharing, mentoring, and development of standard procedures.
  
  
  

What Required Skills You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline with 15+ years of experience in design and technical coordination roles.
• Proven experience managing multidisciplinary design teams in large-scale projects.
• Strong understanding of relevant codes, standards, and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to manage multiple design packages and deliverables simultaneously.
• Proficient in design and document control tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, BIM360, etc.).
  
  
  

What Desired Skills You’ll Bring

• Previous experience working on infrastructure or large scale projects in the Middle East.
• Working knowledge of digital design tools and platforms such as BIM, Navisworks, or similar.
• Understanding of project controls including cost, risk, and schedule integration.
• Experience working with government or semi-government clients.
• Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, RICS, PE, or equivalent) would be an advantage.
