Tax and Treasury Director

• Develop and implement tax strategies that align with the company's business goals and maximize tax efficiency.


• Ensure full compliance with local, national, and international tax laws and regulations, including income tax, VAT/GST, transfer pricing, and withholding taxes.


• Oversee tax filings and reporting obligations across various jurisdictions, ensuring timely and accurate submission of tax returns.


• Manage tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities, including preparing documentation and responding to tax authorities.


• Identify tax risks and develop appropriate strategies to mitigate them while maintaining alignment with business objectives.


• Advise on mergers, acquisitions, and restructurings from a tax perspective, ensuring compliance and optimal tax outcomes.


• Develop and execute treasury policies covering cash management, liquidity planning, banking relationships, and financial risk management (interest rate, currency risk).


• Ensure effective cash flow forecasting to maintain liquidity and meet the company's financial obligations.


• Oversee corporate financing activities, including debt financing, capital structure planning, and working capital management.


• Monitor and manage financial risks, including foreign exchange risk, interest rate risk, and credit risk, using hedging and other financial instruments where appropriate.


• Maintain and develop relationships with banks, financial institutions, and investors to ensure access to funding and optimized banking terms.


• Ensure the optimal deployment of surplus funds through short-term investments or other vehicles, balancing risk and return.


• Collaborate with the CFO and other senior leaders in developing long-term financial strategies for the company.


• Provide tax and treasury insights into the annual budget and strategic planning process.


• Report regularly on tax planning, treasury performance, and financial risk management to the executive team and board of directors.


• Lead and develop a high-performing tax and treasury team, providing coaching, guidance, and growth opportunities.


• Collaborate with the wider finance team and other business units to ensure alignment on tax and treasury matters.


• Work with external advisors (tax consultants, financial institutions, legal counsel) to optimize the company's tax and treasury position.


• Ensure strong internal controls are in place around tax compliance, treasury activities, and financial reporting.


• Identify and manage operational risks related to tax and treasury, implementing mitigation strategies as necessary.


• Support corporate governance by advising on tax implications and treasury matters in key decision-making processes.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.


• Professional certification such as CPA, CFA, or ACCA is highly preferred.


• Master's degree in Taxation, Finance, or related discipline is a plus.


• Minimum 10 years of experience in tax and treasury management, preferably within a multinational or complex organizational structure., with at least 5 years in a leadership role.


• In-depth knowledge of local, regional, and international tax laws and regulations.


• Proven experience in M&A activities, external financing, cross-border taxation, treasury management, including cash flow forecasting, risk management, and financial instruments.


• Good knowledge on ERP System such as SAP
