Tamheer - Accounting Intern

Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare local tax returns (VAT, Withholding Tax, and Income Tax), including booking, reconciliation, and follow-up of payments
• Ensure the accuracy of tax invoices in compliance with the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) requirements
• General ledger accounts reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of balances
• Support month-end closing and ensure completeness and accuracy of financial data
• Prepare local internal financial statements according to the standards
• Coordinate and communicate with government authorities regarding tax filings and financial statements
• Responsible for communication with Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA)
• Work with HR regarding payroll, reviews, reconciliations, and resolving any discrepancies
• Work with external auditors and provide required documentation and information
• Prepare reports for management
• Ensure compliance with internal financial policies, procedures, and local regulations
• Assist other finance departments with any additional requests as needed
  
  

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Proficient in both Arabic and English, written and spoken
• Able to communicate clearly with stakeholders within and outside the finance function
  
  

Please note: This position is exclusively open to Saudi nationals, currently residing in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, who are eligible for Tamheer. The role requires hybrid attendance, with regular in-office presence at our Riyadh location as per business needs.
